The vertebrate train of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria this vehicle required, by its own design, a track totally incompatible with the existing railway network, based on long concrete beams on which the composition supported by independent treads located on the sides of the vehicle and not in its lower part, as is usual in conventional trains or cars. According to its inventor, in this way it was achieved that the train was non-derailing, by placing the center of gravity in the same plane as the additional guide wheels and, therefore, the tipping torque was zero.
Le train vertébré de Las Palmas de Grande Canarie nécessitait, de par sa conception unique, une voie ferrée incompatible avec le réseau ferroviaire existant. Cette voie était composée de longues poutres en béton sur lesquelles roulaient les pneus qui se situaient de part et d'autre du véhicule et non en dessous, comme il est d'accoutumée pour les trains et voitures. D'après son inventeur, cela permettait au train de ne pas pouvoir dérailler, car son centre de gravité était sur le même plan que des roues de guidages, ce qui faisait totalement disparaitre les forces de bascule.
