O comboio vertebrado de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria este veículo exigiu, pela sua própria concepção, uma via totalmente incompatível com a rede ferroviária existente, baseada em longas vigas de betão sobre a qual a composição é suportada por faixas independentes localizadas nas laterais do veículo e não na sua parte inferior, como é habitual nos comboios ou vagões convencionais. De acordo com o seu inventor, conseguiu-se desta forma que o comboio não descarrilasse, colocando o centro de gravidade no mesmo plano que as rodas de guia e, portanto, o binário de inclinação era zero.
